What did we eat in Slovenia?

We did eat some interesting food. It was a bit like Groundhog Day over the weekend. I bet Stephen or someone else who was there would like to tell us all about it.

I had one very special meal before most people arrived. I'm always up for trying something new and I had to have this one in honour of Sandy. On Thursday evening we went to a restaurant that offered 100 different pizzas. I had one which contained:
Cottage cheese
Walnuts
Raisins
and .........

wait for it .........

would you believe it ..........

CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I enjoy it? Well, it was ok.

Would I have it again? Probably not.

Would I recommend anyone else to try it? Yes, of course.

What is the oddest meal you've ever had?

Cathy that sounds totally disgusting! I really must try it - will it work with veggie sausages?!

Sausages dipped in melted chocolate are the most delicious things ever!

You really should try them if you ever have a fondue. Forget the fruit and the marshmallows, go for some sausages!

Hi guys. yes indeed i would like to discuss our slovenian menus -

I am sure that any musician (or indeed anyone) who spends a lot of time travelling and working abroad will agree that food is an essential part in your enjoyment of touring. i know this may sound a bit crazy to some of you but I promise you its true! eating is one of the few times when you have a hectic concert schedule to just sit back with friends, relax and forgot about the stresses of performing. It is therefore essential and imperitive that you have good food to enjoy.

The Slovenian food was good!! Very good in fact!! However there was one slight problem. let me explain:

RESTAURANT 1 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake

RESTAURANT 2 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake

RESTAURANT 3 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake

RESTAURANT 4 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake
RESTAURANT 5 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake

RESTAURANT 6 MENU
Chicken Noodle Soup
Salad
Scnitzel (fried cheese for veggies)
Cake

So I am sure you can see that as tasty as this traditional Slovenian meal is, it does end up a little bit wearing. but besides that we are still very grateful for all our Slovenian friends' hospitality. they certainly added a bit of fun to the whole experience.

As a result of this, i would like to suggest that Flutewise endorses this particular menu and honour it with the title of "Official Flutewise Meal" and it should be served on every flutewise course from now on. just a suggestion. What do you think???

I am sure by now you have all recovered so what i want to know is what were the best bits about Slovenia -both at the convention and away from it????????

Now I do expect lots of replies here so get thinking!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Stephen.

(P.S. Glad to let you know that the trip to Slovenia did not interfere too much with the continuation of the storylines in Hollyoaks and thanks to the joyous wonders of Sky +, I am now fully caught up. For those of you who are not as fortunate as me then the weekly omnibus is on Sunday morning).
