Back on the Barbican foyer at 14.00 we had a performance by Gareth McLearnon with Tim Carey on piano. He played some of the pieces form his newly published book, ‘Round Ireland with a Flute’.

Gareth was followed by Lucy Noble and her band. Their first concert was just over a year ago. Lucy would like to change people’s perception of classical music and classical instruments and show that they can be viewed in different ways and be more accessible to an audience. We heard some classical pieces that were played in a more contemporary way and some popular songs that were changed into instrumental versions.
