Competition answers

In the last magazine we had a competition to win a copy of of Flute Music by Female composers published by Scott. Here are the answers to the questions. The names of winners will be in the magazine. 1.Cecile Chaminade was born in 1857 and died in 1944 2. She was french 3. at 8 yrs old she wrote a few sacred works 4. At 18 yrs old she began her career as a pianist with a concert tour thoughout France & England 5. France, England, America, 6. Georges Bizet - arranged for her to have piano lessons, Felix Le Couppey taught her piano and Benjamin Godard - she studied harmony and composition with him. 7. Philadelphia Orchestra 8. 350 pieces. 9. Piano, organ and voice. 10. Concertino
