More about the new website

Progress on the new website stuff is progressing really quickly now. It's all being kept secret - even Liz hasn't seen all of it (which is mainly because she is so busy with so many other exciting Flutewise things!) - but it is well worth the wait. One thing that is requested (quite a lot!) is merchandise. T-shirts, mugs, pens and pencils are ideas that have been kicking around for a while. We've looked around various sources and there are - literally - thousands of different products that we can make Flutewise-y. It'd really help us if you could let us know what you would like to see. There's a poll after the break (if you click on the "more" link after this post) which has ten options that seem the most likely - but if you have any other ideas please send us your comments. What would you like to see? "I would like to see some of those strange, little, furry bugs with the ribbons attached to the bottom." That kind of thing. Let your imagination fly - we could even have Flutewise roller blinds! Thanks, Andy.

Flutewise Website Changes

Hi. This is Andy, your hard-working, ever-busy Flutewise webmaster here. It was quite shocking to find the website disappear two (or so) weeks ago. Unfortunately, it isn't recoverable - gone for good - never to be seen again. Luckily, Liz and I have had plans for a whole new website with many new features. Since the old website popped its mortal coil, we've been looking into the feasibility of some of our ideas and we'd like to ask you - our most loyal visitors - what you would like to see.

Abbotsholme 1

As promised, here is a bit about Abbotsholme - just a bit because I'm quite busy with the magazine and other things. It was a lovely course, due to the exceptional people involved.

It's Summer

Well it is according to the date, but maybe not the weather. Sorry, I haven't been blogging much.

New York 2009

I'm pleased to say I'm felling better. The last couple of days I've been looking at dates for next year and I've done a bit of research on the NFA Convention.

Back from sunny Croatia

We had a WONDERFUL time! Two weeks in a medieval castle on the sea, teaching and playing flute with some amazing young people is an awesome exeprience.

Off to Croatia

I'm off to sunny Croatia for my summer school at Kastel Luksic. Abbie and Gareth are joining me this year and I think it's fair to say, we are all really excited.

Flutewise no more

I always feel sad when someone doesn't renew their Flutewise membership, but sometimes it makes me very happy, especially when I know Flutewise has done its job and has supported a young player.
