Our brilliant Flutewise Apprentices

I had to go up to London yesterday for a couple of meetings and called in to the British Flute Society Competition that was being held in Regent Hall, Regent Street. I only had a very short time to spare but I was delighted to arrive just as Cathy Hare was playing. It was stunning playing and I was extremely proud of her. On the train on the way back I received a text from Cathy to say she had won a merit medal. Congratulations to Cathy. The standard of playing must have been extremely high.

Then just as I arrived home I had another text message, this time from Emma Halnan and with even more good news. She had been competing for a Yamaha bursary and she won!

Enormous congratulations to both Cathy and Emma, they, like the rest of our Flutewise Apprentices are great role models.
