Not very good news
I had an email this morning from our printers. It wasn't a surprise. Paper prices are increasing to almost 12%. That will have a huge inpact on our printing bill. Postage has also increased from 66p per magazine to 81p. What are we going to do?

How about having the option of getting the magazine on the website, or sent by email and only sending magazines to members who don't have access to the internet?

Change printers, print on cheaper paper, more ads (or charge more for ads), less pages, use smaller font, less colour pages, less photos, shorter articles with reference to website for longer articles, hold a fundraising event, etc....failing that, increase membership fees! (we'll survive...!)
How about charging for a personal ad column (either in the magazine or online) for eg. members wanting to sell flutey stuff or find a flutey friend - will that generate a bit of $$?
