Magic Flute Event in Tunbridge Wells

catStephen Clark and I went to sunny Tunbridge Wells on Sunday. This is the fifth event that Pat Daniels has helped us to organise for the young flute players in the area. It wsa really well attended, not only by flute players but the cat!

During the morning we had players who were post Grade 6 standard and they worked on the 3rd movement of Mozart's Concerto in G and Queen of the Night after Stephen's great warm up session.

Patrick from Top Wind came jsut before the lunch break with hsi superb travelling shop and then lots of younger players arrived. We had the usual fun activities of a Flutewise afternoon - warm up, a bit of improvising, bubble blowing, breathing and ensemble playing. For the presentation to parents, Stephen played Ian Clarke's Zoom Tube (which everyone loved), the older people played Quenn of the Night and everyone played Papageno's Song and Magic Bells.

Tunbridge WellsIt was a lovely day - look carefully at these faces - do they look happy?!

Thanks to everyone for making this happen.
