Croatia - the story of day 5

Hi everyone - Mark here

Day 5 started really well, another lovely&productive morning with all the young Croatian people on the course and a nice afternoon siesta before we went to have a look at a lovely Medieval castle which is currently for sale just a couple of miles down the coast (anyone have a spare €2m?????!!!!!)

Then disaster struck (see picture) - Liz fractured her arm so our kind host, Dario, rushed us to the hospital in Split. After assessing Liz the doctors placed her arm in plaster and recommended she flies home as soon as possible for an operation.

Luckily for all here in Croatia Stephen is flying here on Sunday&will be able to take over from Liz when she has to fly home on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately for Liz she will miss out on the final few days of the course and the concert in the castle. It's a big shame but we are focussing on how we can make next year's course even bigger and better when hopefully many more of you will be able to join us here. I'm sure as Liz learns to type with her weaker hand she'll get you all sorts of information to tempt you.

For now though, please help me to make Liz laugh by leaving suggestions of how she may have caused the injury - no matter how silly - we'll find a prize for the best suggestion

Your arm Liz, poor you! Although I had a feeling that playing flute could be a shattering experience!! Hope you'll cease being plastered real soon.

Liz found out the consequences of trying to stretch her arms enough for a straight headed bass flute...

To Barbara: Small children may be reading this, I would have expected better from you :P
