Croatia - days 1 and 2

Here we are in Croatia. The weather is wonderful, very sunny but not too hot. Our flight was delayed by two hours, with no apology or explanation (good old easyJet) and so I didn't get to meet the children yesterday.

Mark and I had quite a quiet day, we needed it due to the lack of sleep the night before, we had about two hours. It is lovely to be back here in Villa Soulavy and seeing all our friends.

Today we met all of the course members. What a lot I've got! There are almost 20 absolute beginners aged from 7 to 16 and NINE of them are boys!!!! I'm well impressed. As well as the beginners I've got some of my lovely flute players from previous years including Ana, Vinka, Marija, Antionia, Deni, Klaudia, Ana - and Klaudia is also going to play her violin. We played a few musical games this morning, sang a few songs from last year and listened to some music. Tomorrow it's down to some hard work. It's very exciting. I nearly forgot, we started the morning with a tour of the botanical gardens - that's where most of the course is happening this year. The castle has been taken over by ballerinas who are also staying at the villa. It's not a problem though as the new place is even better than the castle and we will be there for the concert.

That's all for now ... off for ice cream and a dip in the sea.
