Abbotsholme 2010

I'm back from Abbotsholme. We had an absolutely GREAT course! Well, I always say that, don't I? But this was great, the best course yet, until the next one!

We had four fabulous days of wonderful flute playing, fun and friendship. Even the weather was superb. What more could a flute player ask for?

Although we didn't have a huge number of course members, they were all wonderful people and worked and played very hard. We were extremely luckt to have our Artist of the Year, Matej Zupan join us all the way from Slovenia. He is the most amazing player and teacher. We also had as staff, Abbie Burrows, Stephen Clark, Chris Baxter (piano), Andy and myself. On Friday Sandy Hay joined us. Vicki Hodges came for the first 3 days to help out and then had to leave for another course but Alison Tolmie arrived to take over on Friday. That worked well. Vicki and Alsion have been memebrs for years and have attended loads of courses and I really love it that they are changing roles now and are coming back as staff.

I'll do my best to write an account of all the activities we did on the course over the next couple of days. I've got a back  log of work to catch up on and 2 hours of vidoe to edit.
